Minimum requirements for surgeons (general) include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and registration. 
 
 

Job Description

  • review patient’s medical history, physical conditions and reaction to medication and order diagnostic test to determine the necessity of operations, the risks involved and the best operational procedures 
  • perform surgical operations
  • ensure the antiseptic and aseptic methods are followed in the instruments, equipment, and surgical set-up 
  • prescribes post-operative care and observes patients' progress 
  • maintain records of operations
