Registered Nurses (Medical) give nursing care to patients with infections, metabolic and degenerative diseases, which needs medical intervention covering health, aged care and community settings. Most of the nurses are employed in the Health Care and Social Assistance industries. 
 
Minimum requirements for registered nurses include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and registration. 
 
 

Job Description

  • plan, carry out and evaluate nursing care for patients as per nursing practice and standards
  • consult with other health staff members and coordinate for the care of patients
  • give interventions, therapies and treatments and monitor responses to care and treatment plans  
  • promote health education through participation in health-related initiatives 
  • provide information to patients and families about care and treatment 
  • supervise the work of enrolled nurses and other health care workers
