Registered Nurses (Disability and Rehabilitation)  provide nursing care to patients recovering from illness and injury and help patients with disabilities to live more independently. Most of the nurses are employed in the Health Care and Social Assistance industries. 
 
Minimum requirements for registered nurses include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and registration. 
 

Job Description

  • plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients as per nursing practice and standards
  • consult with other health staff members and work together for the care of patients
  • provide interventions, therapies and treatments and monitor responses to care and treatment plans 
  • support ill-health prevention through participation in health education and other related initiatives 
  • provide information to patients and families about care and treatment 
  • manage the work of enrolled nurses and other health care workers
