Registered Nurses (Community Health) provide nursing care, health education and counselling to individuals, families and groups in the community with an emphasis on patient independence and health promotion.
 
Most of the nurses are employed in the Health Care and Social Assistance industries. Minimum requirements for registered nurses (community health) include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and registration. 
 
 

Job Description

  • plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients as per accepted nursing practice and standards
  • consult with other health staff members and coordinating the care of patients
  • give interventions, treatments and therapies and monitor responses to treatment and care plans
  • promotes ill-health prevention through participation in health education and other related activities
  • provides information to patients and families about care and treatment 
  • supervise the work of enrolled nurses and other health care workers
