Dental Practitioners

Dental Practitioners provide diagnosis and treatment of dental disease, recover normal oral function using various dental surgery and other specialist techniques, and advise on oral health. Common duties include:
 
  • identify dental diseases using radiographs, salivary tests and medical histories
  • provide preventative oral health care like periodontal treatments, fluoride applications and oral health promotion
  • perform implants, complex crown and bridge restorations, orthodontics, damaged and decayed teeth repair other restorative oral care
  • carry out oral surgical treatments such as a biopsy of tissue and prescription of medication
  • perform routine orthodontic treatment and restoration of oral function with removable and fixed oral prostheses
