Minimum requirements for orthopaedic surgeons include a bachelor’s degree, relevant experience, and registration. 
 
 

Job Description

  • review patient’s medical history, physical conditions and reaction to medication and order diagnostic test  
  • perform surgeries on various parts of the musculoskeletal system like reattaching tendons and ligaments, performing hip and knees replacements and plating broken bones 
  • perform non-invasive procedures like immobilizing a fractured bone or conducting surgery on a torn ligament
  • prescribe post-operative care and observes and investigates patients' progress.
  • maintain records of operations
